Tundergarth Kirks Trust Funding

1 August 2024

The Muirhall team recently visited Tundergarth Kirks Trust after providing funding to help with the restoration and future protection of Tundergarth Church.

As part of our commitment to investing in local communities, we recently awarded £5,500 towards the renovation for Tundergarth Church in Dumfries and Galloway.

The funds contributed by Muirhall Energy went towards supporting general upkeep and maintenance costs, ensuring the site remained safe for visitors to attend.

"At Tundergarth Kirks Trust we are continuously trying to fundraise to ensure our beloved 1900 church can remain open not only for worship, but as an event space for the local community. We're currently undergoing a major repair project, but still need to find around £40,000 to complete phase one of the works. This would allow us to continue replacing lead work on the roof, repoint internally and address roof repairs. We hugely appreciate the generous support from Muirhall in helping to preserve our iconic church and some of its most beautiful features."

Lori Carnochan, Chair, Tundergarth Kirks Trust.

The funding for the this project was allocated through one of our Quarterly Funding Panels, in connection with our proposed Hopsrig and Loganhead Wind Farms.
