Uig Community Hall Funding

Muirhall Energy were thrilled to be invited to Uig Community Hall to see first-hand how our community funding supported local residents.

Welcomed by some of the trustees of Uig Community Hall SCIO, we were granted a guided tour of the recently completed renovations that have been carried out. These include an accessible entrance with electronic push-pad operation, 5 gender neutral toilets, an accessible toilet, family friendly toilet and cleaning store.

The refreshed community hall is now well placed to support the community in future events and act as a much-needed hub since the closure of their local schools.

The hall is not only a warmer, brighter, more inviting place to be, but future running costs will now also be reduced thanks to the energy efficiency upgrades with added insultation throughout the entrance and toilets, new windows and door and LED sensor lighting.

The funding for the this project was allocated through one of our Quarterly Funding Panels, in connection with our proposed Glen Ullinish II Wind Farm.
