Hawick High School Kit Cars Funding

We’re delighted to have sponsored Hawick High School's first GreenPower kit car, complete with boiler suits, gloves and helmets.  

The electric Kit Cars, which are designed and built by the students in the High School’s technical department, are raced at organised events at venues including Croft, Co Durham and East Fortune. Led by HHS Principal Teacher Creative Industries Scott Henderson, the aim of the project is to inspire young people to engage in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) through practical application and the sense of achievement of working as a team from the basic design and build stage through to competing with the vehicle.

Due to the outstanding success of this initiative, we supplied a second kit, and sponsored the Muirhall Challenge last summer.
