Muirhall are delighted that a member of our team, Jason Morin, is a finalist for the 2017 Young Professionals Green Energy Awards, Communicator Award, for a second year in succession.

The Awards run by industry body Scottish Renewables, recognise the contribution being made by the next generation of thinkers, shapers and decision makers. Wind, wave, bioenergy, tidal, solar and hydrogen power, as well as renewable and low-carbon heat and the emerging field of energy storage are all represented in the work of the challengers for nine categories.

Jason’s effective engagement with members of the community and other project related stakeholders across a number of our large scale wind projects, is not only firmly rooted in Muirhall’s company ethos, but has been critical to project and therefore company success. He joined Muirhall Energy in 2014 after completing a BSc (hons) in Geography from Glasgow University, and will now go forward to represent the company at the awards dinner on the 25th May at the Glasgow Science Centre.

The event, which will welcome around 300 guests, was launched in 2015 to showcase the enormous range of fresh talent in the sector.

Previous winners have gone on to address a UN climate conference, pioneer innovative solutions to industry challenges and employ apprentices themselves.

Chris Walker, Muirhall Energy Managing Director said:

“We are thrilled that Jason is again being recognised for his hard work in communities. It’s testament to the team’s effort and we are proud to have so many talented young professionals in the company. We’re all looking forward to the event in May.”

The list of finalists for the event, can be found on the Scottish Renewables website.
