Following the success of having four members of our team short-listed at the 2015 Young Professionals Green Energy Awards run by industry body Scottish Renewables, we are very proud that once again we have a member of our team short-listed – this time for the Communicator Award at the 2016 Young Professionals Green Energy Awards.

The awards recognise the contribution being made by the next generation of thinkers, shapers and decision makers.

Jason Morin, who joined Muirhall Energy in 2014 after completing a BSc (hons) in Geography from Glasgow University, will now go forward to represent the company at an awards dinner on the 26th May at the Glasgow Science Centre. The nomination for this award comes as a result of all Jason’s hard work involving communities in a number of our wind developments and innovative ideas on the companies PR strategy.

Mrs Margaret Sanderson, Chairperson of Langholm, Ewes and Westerkirk Community Council and Chairperson of the Federation of Community Councils for Annandale & Eskdale said:

“Jason has been heavily involved in communicating with the surrounding communities of the Muirhall wind farm developments over the last 14 months. He has explained in great depth what is going to happen with both wind farm sites and has always been very proactive in clarifying any doubts that constituents may have.

He has gone out of his way to make sure that all community groups are kept in the loop throughout development – far more than the various developers who have previously worked in the area, and is always determined to make sure that local people aren’t inconvenienced at any stage.”

Chris Walker, Muirhall Energy Managing Director said:

“We are thrilled that one of our team members is being recognised for their hard work. It’s testament to their effort and we are proud to have so many talented young professionals in the company. We’re all looking forward to the event in May.”
